Well - today we had to wish farewell to Turkey. I am shocked and so upset about this - she was a fantastic rat, so full of life, to the very end. Only a couple of days ago we were saying how she and her sister Pachuco looked young and fit and healthy. She'd have been 2 in just over a month - and you'd never have known.

She was a sparky, fiesty little madam - so full of beans! Not the easiest rat in the world, but still a spectacular one - one of those that no matter how naughty, worms her way into your heart and soul. I remember the first ever photo shoot we did of the girls, when we got them. She bounced off the sofa and hid behind the gas meter! The only way we could get her out was to have a cage with an open door, and a feather wand... we got her to chase the feather wand into the cage and shut it quickly when she was in there! She was so cross - she foofed through the bars at us ;D  It was things like this though that made me love her all the more.

She was so licky too - in complete contrast to her sister, who wouldn't lick for all the yoggies in ratdom, Turkey would plaster you with kisses as soon as you picked her up. She was incredibly sweet as well as naughty. It rather made her naughtiness seem unimportant. :*)

She was a fabulous little girl, and we'll both miss her very very much. Thank you to Ed and Deb for letting her come to us - she's been a wonderful pet.

Run free gorgeous lady - go and find Tish, who you've missed so much the past few days - I'm sure that's why you decided to leave us and Pachuco - you needed to find your best friend. I hope you both wait for Pachuco though - she'll be missing you both terribly :*( Keep watch over her for me... :*(

For her - this song, because it kind of shows how sudden I feel this was :*(

Howlin' Wolf - My Baby Walked Off:

Well, my baby walked off, she musta layed down and died
Well, my baby walked off, she musta layed down and died
Lord, I wish she was here, layin' up by my side
Well, I'm so doggone worried, I can't be satisfied
Well, I'm so doggone worried, can't be satisfied
Well, the woman walked off from me, boy, she musta walked off and died
I'm gonna call the highway man, tell him, my baby musta been out and died
I'm gonna call the highway man an tell him, my baby done walked off and died
Please find my baby, cause then I'm satisfied
Well she just walked off, know she's just my kind
Well she just walked off, know she's just my kind
Lord, I'm crazy 'bout the woman, she done walked off an died
