Well - we came home from a lovely day out today, to find little Troll finally gone to the bridge. He's not been too good the last couple of weeks - but still happy in himself, eating well and coming for cuddles - just very - slow :*( Last night we thought he looked a bit miserable and ropey - and he didn't come out at dinner time, so we put him in a carrier with a dish of banoffee pudding baby food - which he wolfed down - and then slept off. So at least he had one good last meal.He wasn't as old as I'd have liked - but considering we were sure we'd lose him at about 6 months when he choked, I am really proud of him for making it this far. Since his choking episode he's always had respiratory issues - scarring perhaps - but I never thought he'd last this long. He'd have been 21 months on the first of September.
He was a beautiful boy - a lovely British Blue Agouti - who as a young lad did OK at shows - and everyone loved his cheeky personality. He was such a sweet lad - always cuddly, and never far from his lovely brother SNAFU who is bound to be taking his death very hard...
Troll was very special to me, because of his illness earlier in life... it'll be so weird to go into the ratshed now, and not hear his wheezy breathing :*( quiet... he was a bit of a heart rat, so I don't really know what to write... I'm just... lost I guess.
Anyway - run free you lovely old thing, go and find your mum and dad who are waiting for you - give them cuddles from me. Breath easy now, and wait for SNAFU... :*(
