On Wednesday I had to say goodbye to Tom :*( and I don't quite know how I feel. He was the most amazing little chap... famous for his incredible personality, adorable nature and good looks. He was a truly special, one of a kind lad... with a fanclub of his own because of his lickiness. He always had time to give everyone a lick. Everyone loved how he would ball his fists up and lick like mad, with his back feet twitching whenever you scratched his ears. :*) He was such a darling... and although he'd always be hard to introduce to other rats, as soon as they'd won his friendship, he was a friend for life... never a squabble when he'd made a friend.

Tomago sired several litters, and did OK at shows too... he was just a wonderful boy altogether, and anyone who met him loved him immediately. Equally, anyone who knows us and met Tom, will know how lost I feel without him :*(

There's not a huge amount to write, there's no sob story, he was a fabulous healthy boy, who lived a long life and died peacefully in his sleep... what more could I hope for? But somehow his obituary just seems too short... just doesn't do him justice... and I'm not sure what to say. I guess I'm still in shock really, that my special guy, my only black dumbo, and only Alpha Centauri rat, is gone. Forever.

I do still have his daughter and Son here though, to cheer me up... and they are so like him in so many ways :*)

Run free Tom, go and find Shark, Zowie and Valdez... and Mickey and Ross who you loved too :*(
