Genetics to knowledge: aa rbrb dd (possibly carrying mock mink)

Where to begin?

Sharky was such a fabulous rat - he was just wonderful... in every way. We got him and his brother Zowie at 4 months old, having already had their two sisters (Peaches and Viv) from young babies. Sharky and Zowie came to us to be friends with Tomago - as he was coming to us alone. The three got on really well, and always lived together after that.

Zowie passed away a while ago, and Sharky' missed him badly, but never let t get him down. Despite his health problems, and missing his brother, he always soldiered on, and was really just proof that Russian Silvers can do fabulously well, and live to a reasonable age.

Sharks was one of the sweetest rats I've known, totally obsessed with food, and towards the end he loved nothing more than his special sloppy mixes :*) He would throw himself accross the cage to get a lump of goo!

Nothing I can say about this rat really does him justice, he was just wonderful in so many ways - and will be missed so much, by us, his cagemates, and his two sons here. He really was one of a kind :*(

Run free gorgeous old man - you deserve a rest now, go and find your friends and family at the bridge.

and for him... Fisherman's Blues, by the Waterboys :*( Another song I'll never be able to listen to now

I wish I was a fisherman
tumblin' on the seas
far away from dry land
and it's bitter memories
castin' out my sweet line
with abandonment and love
no ceiling bearin' down on me
save the starry sky above
with light in my head
with you in my arms...
i wish i was the brakeman
on a hurtlin fevered train
crashin head long into the heartland
like a cannon in the rain
with the feelin of the sleepers
and the burnin of the coal
countin the towns flashin by
and a night that's full of soul
with light in my head
with you in my arms...

And I know I will be loosened
from the bonds that hold me fast
and the chains all around me
will fall away at last
and on that grand and fateful day
I will take thee in my hand
I will ride on a train
I will be the fisherman
With light in my head
You in my arms...

Light in my head
You in my arms...

Light in my head
You...

With light in my head
You in my arms...

Now there's only one Tenaran rat left here and that's just so very wrong. I just hope gorgeous Peaches carries on for a lot longer yet :*)
