Our old girl Reenee passed away. So - this one is a candle for Reenee. A very sweet girl.

She came to us with her sister Vinnie in September 2004 - they were both a total mess. They had been living in a small hamster cage on straw - no food, no water. But even with this, they were still darlings, they loved cuddles, attention and fuss. We had hell's own work getting them in with other girls, as reenee didn't like anyone except Vinnie. Then when Vinnie passed away, she was so heartbroken, that she went in with Bernice and Barbara without trouble. She'd been getting ill for a while now, old and frail - only just kept going by nourishing foods etc. Sadly, Bernice's death was too much for her - and she followed suit shortly after - obviously missing her new friend.

Rest in peace my beautiful little girl, you deserve the best that the rainbow bridge has to offer - here's hoping you get caviar and truffles aplenty - and that you're playing with Bernice and Vinnie up there - and not terrorizing Chloe and Ratclyffe too much
