Other Pets Currer, Ellis, Acton and Bell the Mice Currer Ellis Acton Bell When I found out that Shelley at Aeris rats had a load of rescue mice looking for homes, I was intrigued... and when I saw that they were tans I nearly died! I've not had mice in a fairly long time - and I've wanted tans since I was 13! It seemed like the ideal opportunity to fulfil that dream, and to help Shelley with the rescue. Sooo - we got these four lovely girls in January. They are named after the pen names of the Bronte sisters - in keeping with our literary theme for any pet mice that come through here. They're a joy to own, such fun to watch! :D
Dudley the Dog Dudley is a big silly Labrador cross that was found on a roadside in West Cork. He had been dumped, and countless attempts to find his owners proved fruitless. He had quite bad hips when he was found, presumably from a bang, but now he is perfectly well. He's nervous around people still, and has some minor behavioural issues, but he's a darling member of the family, and one we wouldn't be without for all the tea in China . He is getting much better in his behaviour, and is a bit like a child! He's spoiled rotten, and thinks mum and dad are his personal slaves!
Bothways Axel's Rose (Portia) the Dog Portia is a Japanese Shiba Inu, and we are providing a nice retirement home for her. We got her from Kyoshi Kennels in Abbeyfeale, and we couldn't be happier with her. We're hoping she'll make a lovely companion for Dudley, who seemed a bit lonely on his own. She's very sweet natured, and great fun to have around - she's a sparky, quirky little madam, and keeps us on our toes! She is so wonderful, and we are totally besotted with her.
