We got Merryl from Wyevale in 2004. Shouldn't have - really shouldn't have - but we couldn't resist and with her sisters Julie and Stella she was a wonderful cheeky little madam! they formed a trio of special ladies that everyone who knew them, loved.

We lost Julie, and more recently, Stella - and Merryl wasn't right after that - she missed her two sisters terribly... but she and Iris have been great company for each other. Merryl's been old and frail for some time now, not been quite the same, feisty, cheeky little madam that she always was We were thinking of putting her to sleep soon... but she beat us to it, cuddled up in a warm pet bed, with her best friend Iris :*)

Words really can't do my little girl justice - she was always so healthy until the end... has always been a key feature of my rat room... and now the 'big girls cage' is down to one... and i can't describe how wrong that feels... how awful that there are only two of the original LoGrats left... Iris and Ross...

I think Iris will need good vibes too - she's not going to take this very well... I just hope she doesn't give up... sadly, i suspect she will :*(
