Our Eddy Veddymus left us after a long and painful struggle with
life. He had lost his brother Tubbs, and then needed a tumour
removal. He seemed to be OK after that - and we intro'd him to
Mickey and Ross. He soon fell ill with breathing troubles -
gasping and choking and found it excruciating to even exist. we
decided that we had to do the kindest thing.
He was the first rat (well - he and his brother) that Karl and I bought (yes from a petshop) since I lost my last old girl Sam in 2001. He and Tubbs were angels - and the sweetest pair of monsters one could ever hope to care for. They were both little demons. Edward was a darling licky chap - and all the people who have met him can testify that he loved cuddles and kisses.
Edward was a very special man who will be more than missed. I was inches from crying in the vets - and that was pretty bad - but I knew we were doing the right thing by him - as he just couldn't carry on in the pain he was in.
Here's to our special little man - and may he be playing with Tubbs already - kickboxing and bitch slapping - as they both loved so much. bye bye Edward - mummy and daddy will be with you always.
