Bongo Fury Drumbo Russian Blue Dumbo Bred by Laura Jones and Karl Woods 22/10/06 - 28/04/07
:( It is with an extremely heavy heart that I write
this, but my darling little Drumbo has passed away
:*( I'm not sure what to say about Drumbo, She and
MoonChild were the first two babies we kept from our
first litter, Moon's, and they've never really been
breeding quality. An infection came into the rattery,
and while MC recovered, Drumbo never did. The last
few weeks she's been terribly bad, and we thought
we'd lose her, and today she just finally gave up
after weeks of meds, and injections etc. :( She was
far far far too young, and will be very sorely
missed. She was a crazy little madam, never really
very friendly, never really got on with us,
generally had an air about her of a rat that didn't
want to be bothered. :*) She very much had her own
agenda, and it's just such a shame that a rat with
such big character lived for such a short time :*(
She's playing at the bridge now, but probably misses her family down here - as she's the first to go. :( Though I am sure my other past ratties will make her feel welcome :( after all, a friend of Iris's is a friend of my other past girls :*) Poor poor Iris has lost another friend though. Run free now Drumbo, you can breathe again.
Ronnie Costley - "We're Missing You"
We're all alone,
The house is still,
And the evening sun has slipped behind the hill,
Just my guitar,
A glass or two,
And as we play the twilight blues we're missing you.
I hear your voice,
I see your smile,
And though it seems like yesterday, it's been
awhile.
Still life goes on,
There's more to do,
But I'd just like you to know we're missing you.
Remember all the crazy things we did together,
And all the songs that we sang will last forever,
And though you're gone,
We're rolling on,
Throughout the great and the blue we're missing you.
Remember all the crazy things we did together,
And all the songs that we sang will last forever,
My memories,
Will always be,
Of happy days, good friends are few,
We're missing you.
