Bernice Woodall
Little Bernice left us after a very long struggle. She has
fought for so long over the months. 9 months previous we were
told she would need to be put to sleep for a pulmonery oedema -
and then she just seemed to recover
She was never a well rat though - a P@H rat originally - we took her in when her owner couldn't keep her any more. She had the tip of her tail missing - it just ended in a blunt stub. She was an odd looking rat - often termed the ghost rat. She never came out in photos - and always had a white blur - fortunately we managed to get a photo before she died :*) She always had a snubby nose and funny eyes. She was a grumpy little lady and liked to sink the teeth in and puff at you through the bars. She calmed down in the last couple of months when we finally managed to intro her to Barbara and Reenee. At the end of the last week we found her laying down , barely breathing and cold. We thought she was passing and left her wrapped up in the warm to pass quietly. We didn't want to rush her to the vet when she was peaceful anyway - and it was late at night. We got up the next morning, ready to say goodbye, but she was running around again She was fine then until we found hera couple of days later - passed peacefully. poor girl. She never really had much of a life, I just hope that we gave her a happy last few months. She deserved them Poor Bernice.
