Well, today we lost Beastly, not much shy of his 2nd birthday. We were fairly chuffed her got this far with no real health problems, but recently his back legs started to go, and as seems to be the problem with older silvers, he had a smallish facial abscess come up last week. Sadly, he just gave up today, and I miss him terribly. He was such a gorgeous, friendly boy, with a really gentle, quiet nature, you never knew he was around, but then, when you wanted a cuddle he was there for you :*)

I miss him so much already, he was so special, and it's a bit of a shock to be honest... I hardly know what to write. Losing his brother Tristan a while back knocked us for six too - and it's hard only having Ape left (and their wonderful mum, who will outlive even us I think!). I'm sure Ape misses them both so much, and now he and Ben are alone together, and though they get on, Ape and Beast were very close indeed.

Run free, you wonderful old thing, go and find Tris - I know you missed him so much. And daddy is especially sad about you :*( he misses you so much, and really hoped you wouldn't leave us yet :*(
