Last night we had to say goodbye to Vyvian - who had passed peacefully in his sleep. Vyvian was a wonderful rat - really licky, gentle, sweet natured and always the first for cuddles. You always had to shut the cage with him in it if you didn't have him out for cuddles or he'd be out! He was just a wonderful character - always mad - right up until his passing. Vyv was a beautiful lad - a lovely coloured Russian Dove, with beautiful sparkling boot-button eyes :*) his character always came out through those eyes... there was something impish about him!

I remember when we got him and his brother Darcy (and also sister Tink and her friends Weasel and Fozzy) - they had such a long way to travel, and still their temperaments were impeccable. They've all been very special rats - and sadly, my lovely Vyvbear is the first to leave us.

We're lucky in that we have his children and grandchildren to remember him by - and quite a few people here have his children and grandchildren too. I just hope his fabulous character lives on through them.
