Genetics to knowledge: A/- dd (possibly carrying Russian Blue, Mink, Chocolate and Dumbo)

It's with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of lovely Aeris Valarie. Our gorgeous little British Blue Agouti Velvet doe passed away this afternoon with the help of the vet - when she'd developed a very nasty head abscess, that there was no shifting, and it had caused her to lose her co-ordination, vision and lust for life :*(

She was a really beautiful girl, everyone commented on how attractive looking she was - her and her sister Bea. They were both very striking velvet coats, and were noticeable from a good distance. They had unique and mental characters. Neither were very people oriented rats, and preferred to be off doing their own thing! Valarie was always the more cuddly of the two though - and I will miss her cuddles, especially the last few days, where she's been snuggling a lot more. She really will be so sorely missed - she was a credit to Shelley, and we can't thank her enough for letting her and her sister come to us.

Run free you nutty old fruitcake you... free with your sister again, so you can hump each other for hours on end :*) Hopefully it'll be a while before any more of your cage mates run to join you.

For her - Valerie - Stevie Winwood:
So wild, standing there
With her hands in her hair
I can't help remember
Just where she touched me
There's still no face
Here in our place

So cool, she was like
Jazz on a summer's day
Music, high and sweet
Then she just blew away
Now she can't be that warm
With the wind in her arms

Valerie, call on me
Call on me, Valerie
Come and see me
I'm the same boy I used to be

Love songs fill the night
But they don't tell it all
Not how lovers cry
Just like they're dying

Her cries hang there
In time somewhere
Someday some good
Wind may blow her back to me
Some night I may
Here her like she used to be
Now she can't be that warm
With the wind in her arms

Valerie, call on me
Call on me, Valerie
Come and see me
I'm the same boy I used to be

So cool, she was like
Jazz on a summer's day
Music, high and sweet
Then she just blew away
Now she can't be that warm
With the wind in her arms

Valerie, call on me
Call on me, Valerie
Come and see me
I'm the same boy I used to be

I'm the same boy I used to be

Run free :*(
