Tenaran Tink Walks Amok

Russian Blue

Bred by Tenaran Stud

DOB: 20/04/2009 - 28/03/2011

Genetics to knowledge: aa rbrb Mm (possibly carrying British Blue and Chocolate)

Lovely Tink has left us after a long battle with her health. She started to look a lot less perky the last few days, and I wondered if perhaps we'd be saying goodbye to her before long. I was toying with the idea of having her put to sleep this week - and she beat me to it :*(

She was a wonderful girl, throughout her life, despite her illness. She was a very dear friend to Weasel and Fozzy first, and then when she became ill, she was very close to old Zabba and Lacey - they kept her spritely and happy. She was always the first at the bars in their cage, and just lately would be trying to squeeze through the bars to get to us at dinner times :*) She adored her cuddles - liking nothing better than to make nests in your hair, or burrow into your top, or disappear up a sleeve... She was also to be found keeping Zabba clean for about half the day! She washed him until her tongue nearly fell off :*D I just don't know how he'll cope without her. Since Lacey's death they had become incredibly close, totally inseparable.

Tink was a gentle soul - always ready for a game, but never too pushy until near the end of her life. It was as though she knew at that point that she was on borrowed time, and just wanted to make the most of everything. She really was a wonderful pet and friend, and I will miss her very much indeed :*(

Run free lovely lady - this song is for you as I was thinking about it today before I found you :*( and it just makes me so happysad.

I would like to reach out my hand
I may see you, I may tell you to run
You know what they say about the young
Well pick me up with golden hands
Oh may see you, Oh may tell you to run
You know what they say about the young

Well I would like to hold my little, hand
How we will run We will. How we will crawl we will.
I would like to hold my little, hand.
How we will run we will. How we will crawl.

Send me on my way, on my way

xx
