Found Smiler
passed away last night :*( am really gutted -
she was a wonderful girl, and though she'd been
ill (CK suspected) - I honestly thought we'd
have a little bit longer :*(
She was another of Fozzy and Vyvian's ill fated
babies :*( and has been a pleasure to own with
the gentlest, quietest nature. She was always so
soft and sweet natured - never involved in
squabbles, never racing off across the hallway
at out time, never refusing to cuddle, even in
season. She really was special, very much like
her mum and her great gran in temperament <3 :*)
She was a really pretty little thing in her
prime too. Obviously we never bred from her -
but in many ways I wish we had been able to get
her lovely nature and face passed on. Not to be
though, so my memories will have to suffice.
Run free lovely lady - you were much loved, and
far too special to stay with us for long :*( I'm
going to miss you very much.
And the song she was named after...
Frownland - Captain Beefheart:
My smile is stuck
I cannot go back t' yer Frownland
My spirit's made up of the ocean
And the sky 'n the sun 'n the moon
'n all my eye can see
I cannot go back to yer land of gloom
Where black jagged shadows
Remind me of the comin' of yer doom
I want my own land
Take my hand 'n come with me
It's not too late for you
It's not too late for me
To find my homeland
Where uh man can stand by another man
Without an ego flyin'
With no man lyin'
'n no one dyin' by an earthly hand
Let the devil burn 'n the beggar learn
'n the little girls that live in those old
worlds
Take my kind hand
My smile is stuck
I cannot go back t' yer Frownland
I cannot go back t' yer Frownland
Run free little Smiler <3
