Genetics to knowledge: Aa dd rbrb (possibly carrying Mink, Chocolate and Dumbo)

I so hoped not to be writing this... I really did - we have done everything we could with Nitty the past couple of weeks - but evidently to no avail - she was curled up with Casey this morning :*( At least, the one consolation is we didn't have to take her to the vet for a one way visit. Nitty was far far too young - and we're not sure what's taken her now, but suspect it's pneumonia. She was just the prettiest little girl - one of the prettiest Silver based rats we've bred... but we never got to show her off. She was a beautiful personality too. The three young girls we kept from our last litters all had such different personalities. Dosie is a scatty sort of girl, cuddly, but on her terms - not much of a people rat. W00t is nuts, and spends most her time trying to scale anything and anyone. Nitty was the quiet, calm, dependable, cuddly sort... a true Bongo Fury rat... and I don't know what I'll do without her.

This all comes so soon after poor young Pena too... and it's just breaking my heart losing them young like this. I know it's not always the way - but it's like buses, three come at once :( so it makes you feel worse, and like everything is going wrong.

I just don't have words for how much I'll miss this wonderful little girl - we've spent so many hours a day trying to feed her up and cure her for the last couple of weeks... it's going to be weird not having to do that now :*( and I just don't know what we'll do...

Run free you beautiful little girl - you were obviously just too good for this world. Go and find Pena and any of our others who were taken too young... they'll play with you I'm sure :*(

This song suits her - I wanted something that wasn't too sad... because this is sad enough already :*( and now I'll never be able to listen to it again!
