I can't believe I'm writing another obituary... I'm beginning to wonder if anything will start getting better soon, or whether I am destined to be miserable for the rest of this month as well?!

Ivy was a wonderful little girl... she was one of the most gentle rats I've known. She had such a gorgeous colour too - a little too dark perhaps, but pretty close to what we look for in Silvers. Everyone who saw her commented on her, and many people specifically requested babies from her around the time we were trying to breed her. Sadly that never worked out :*( She went on to grow a lump under her arm, which we had removed and everything was fine for a while... she was back to her old perky, perfect self. However a couple of months ago the lump started to grow back, and combined itself with a slight head tilt. We battled with our emotions for a while, but decided not to operate again, and just to let her carry on as long as she could. She went on for a good while considering, but today, the lump finally took hold.

Ivy will be so sorely missed... she was always such a bright little spark in her cage, and I know Lacey her sister will be beside herself. They were always very close. Even Olive, who she spent almost 100% of the time scrapping with will miss her terribly I'm sure

Run free lovely lady - go and find your mum and give her a cuddle... I miss you... :*(

Train - Drops Of Jupiter... because it suits her... it's sparkly :*)

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's a time to change, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey

But tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way
To see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated?

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?
One without a permanent scar
And then you missed me
While you were looking for yourself out there?

Now that she's back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does Tae-Bo
Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that she might think of me as
Plain ol' Jane told a story about a man
Who was too afraid to fly so he never did land

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance
To dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way?

And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?
Was it everything you wanted to find?
And then you missed me
While you were looking for yourself out there

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you
Even when I know you're wrong?

Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance
Five-hour phone conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had, and me?

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance
To dance along the light of day
And head back toward the Milky Way?

But tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way
To see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated?

And tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?
One without a permanent scar
And then you missed me
While you were looking for yourself?

And did you finally get the chance
To dance along the light of day?
And did you fall for a shooting star?
Fall for a shooting star?
And now you're lonely looking for yourself out there

xx
