Genetics to knowledge: aa dd rbrb (possibly carrying Dumbo, Mink, Siamese and Chocolate)

Well... the time has come to write an obit for my very pretty, very special Silver princess. Ice was one in a million. Everyone who met her loved her - she was soppy, floppy, gentle and kind. She got on with everyone, and never had a sick day in her life until a couple of days ago when a nasty facial abscess flared up. It was so fast :*( nothing we could do would make any difference, and today we let her go, to end her suffering.

She was a very special girl - I knew I was keeping her from about 5 days old. She grew to be a big chunky miss, like her mum Squid. Her temperament was exactly like a cross between her two perfect parents too <3 I so hoped she'd be like them and live to over two - still, I am so proud of her for making it to 22 months with no ill health.

She had a litter here for us - we lost her gorgeous son Snake a few weeks ago - to a freak illness :*( so this is doubly hard. We do still have all her other children that we kept - and I know Varm and Floppy are going to miss her  In fact, the litter we have here now are her grandchildren - so they're very special <3.

I just don't know how I'll cope without her. She was a heart rat, all of the rats we kept from that litter were - Packbat - who was taken far too young, and Ice  it just makes it all the harder knowing that I don't think I'll have too many months longer with Ethyl, and my baby Gator Possum... :*( I don't know what I'll do when they're all gone.

Run free my gorgeous good girl - go and find your mum and dad, Snake and Packbat too... :*( Sail on Silver Girl...
