Another one... not a good week... the last of our recent Tenaran mob - and every bit as wonderful as every other rat Jon and Kathy have given us the chance to share our life with. He never made it to his 2nd birthday either - he'd have been two in just under a fortnight :*(

Darcy was a really lovely lad - just beautiful. Quiet and reserved (especially next to his mad brother Vyvian) and really rather a darling. He got his pet name because of 'Disco Darcy' (here: http://missyisms.typepad.com/missyisms/2006/07/just_to_show_th.html). I forget exactly why we decided on that now, but I remember we thought it very funny at the time :*)

Darcy was a gentle soul - one of the most kindhearted lads I knew. He was ever so licky before he got ill, and loved nothing more than to wash you for ages. He didn't do that so much as he got older and sicker though :*( This is especially sad for me at the moment, because he died no time at all after Floppy... his 'wife' so to speak. They gave us such a lovely litter - Dosie being our wonderful, fit, healthy girl. Red and Hoodoo sadly seem to be coming down with the same fate :*( it's just heartbreaking.

Thank you again to Jon and Kathy for letting us have 3 such special little guys - taken too young, and loved very much for every minute of their little lives. I just wish there was more we could have done.
